The efforts of a young man have turned into a successful equipment drive for some teams impacted by Hurricane Sandy.
The combined effort by Plainview Little League member Eric Klein and league coaches and parents collected trunk-fulls of donated sporting goods at two drives in the last few weeks.
Eric and Maria Pascarella, the President of the Plainview Little League organization, arranged for the distribution of the equipment to the Little League organizations of Long Beach and Freeport.
