19-Year-Old Accused of Abusing Two Port Chester Children

Former Port Chester resident tracked by detective to Long Island.

A 19-year-old former Port Chester resident has been charged with abusing two girls, both his relatives, in incidents that took place in December, according to Port Chester Police.

Cristian Antonio Velasquez Vasquez was charged Thursday after Port Chester Det. Angel Sanchez tracked him to Long Island, where Velasquez Vasquez was living in Uniondale and working in Westbury.

Velasquez Vasquez is accused of second-degree sexual assault, a misdemeanor, and second-degree course of sexual conduct with a child, a felony. He was arraigned in Port Chester Village Court and was ordered held in the Westchester County Jail in Valhalla on $25,000 bail pending an April 25 hearing.

Police said the investigation began in January, when Sanchez received of a report of two girls, ages 11 and 13, being the victim of abuse by a relative. The report came from a local school and the Westchester Child Protective Services.

The investigation led to Velasquez Vasquez, but police said the man had been kicked out of his home in Port Chester and could not be immediately located. Police said Sanchez tracked Velasquez Vasquez to Long Island on Wednesday and was able to arrest him at an apartment in Uniondale on Thursday morning.
