Police said he once again resisted arrest violently and is now facing additional charges.
"These incidents are very concerning," police said in a statement released on social media. "This individual is believed to be new to this Village and affiliated with a known gang. We are working very hard to understand the reason behind this individual's actions, and have tried to use our Crisis team to help this individual to no avail. While our officer suffered injuries and will be out of work for awhile, we hope he recovers quickly."
