Ashanti Will Headline Benefit Concert For Abuse Victims
The October show at the historic Capitol Theatre in Port Chester will support the work of the Pace Women's Justice Center.

PORT CHESTER, NY — The Pace Women’s Justice Center has tapped R&B royalty to help with its mission of offering a helping hand to those most in need of support.
The organization has announced that its 2024 "Raising the Bar" benefit concert will feature a special performance by Grammy award-winning artist, songwriter, actor, author, and advocate, Ashanti. The event is dedicated to raising awareness and support for victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and elder abuse.
The concert will take place on October 24, at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester.

"Having Ashanti headline this year’s 'Raising the Bar' Benefit Concert is incredibly significant," Pace Women’s Justice Center Director Cindy Kanusher said. "Her powerful voice makes her the perfect advocate for our mission. We are honored to have Ashanti and her sister, Shia, bring awareness to and help raise funds for finding justice and safety for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault."
Pace will also honor The ICON Foundation, Inc. with the "Making a Difference Award." The charitable arm of Keller Williams Realty Group, The ICON Foundation has made an impact on local communities in Westchester, Bronx and Putnam Counties. The group's support and generous sponsorship have been instrumental in furthering Pace Women’s Justice Center mission to provide free legal services to victims of abuse, according to organizers.

The "Raising the Bar" Benefit Concert is Pace Women’s Justice Center's largest fundraising event of the year. The funds raised will directly support the center’s critical legal services, helping more than 3,500 victims and survivors annually.
Last year’s successful concert featured the Indigo Girls. The evening earned Pace Women’s Justice Center the Best of Westchester award for "Best Non-Profit Event."
"We are deeply honored to receive the Best of Westchester award for last year’s event," Kanusher said. "This recognition reflects the strength of our community’s support and the vital work we do."

The Pace Women’s Justice Center is a nonprofit legal center at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law dedicated to providing free legal services to victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and elder abuse in Westchester and Putnam Counties.
