Why are you seeking this office?
Government for Change. After serving the community for all these years, I realize how important it is to have a government that is inclusive and transparent. My experience and professional background in banking and finance have prepared me to analyze problems for our future, formulate solutions and most importantly deliver results.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidate(s) seeking this post?
I will run the Town of Rye not as a business but as an asset for ALL and inclusive to Port Chester, Rye Brook, and Rye Neck Residents. I will create a plan for the town's future to make sure residents have a voice at town meetings.
What is the single most pressing issue facing your constituents and what do you intend to do about it?
Making sure to have a government that is transparent and fiscally responsible with spending. Residents not being aware of the Town of Rye existence and what it does. I will be the Supervisor for all and make sure all residents are aware of the Beach, Parks, and Mansion and be able to understand its uses through social media and opportunities discussed from my board.
How would you address the affordable housing issue in the community?
Affordable housing is not a town issue. We have apartments being built in Port Chester with affordable housing components. I support the percentage approved for affordable housing for each municipality.
How would you protect the drinking water in the community?
I would make sure to make Veolia accountable for what we are already paying for regarding protecting our drinking water and they have stated publicly that our water/sewer infrastructure is outdated. I will support inquiries as to what they are doing to remedy the situation and have them present a plan to update the infrastructure of the town.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
Transparency - Better access for all Town of Rye residents to the Beach, Park and Crawford Mansion with review of policies and fees.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
My experience and professional background in banking and finance have prepared me to analyze problems for our future, formulate solutions and most importantly deliver results. My current affiliations as a Planning Commissioner for the Village of Port Chester.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
Never forget to stop and appreciate how far you've come. Never forget that who you are is so much greater than what you do. Never forget to pay it forward. Never forget that it's not always about you.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
When elected I will play a very important role for the Rye Town Families.
