At Clay Art Center, Clay Forges Futures.

Our programs help shape bright, young minds in our community, sparking curiosity and creativity that mold success. Our free afterschool programming for the Port Chester community starts with students in second grade. We provide clay classes, professional development, and job training to students through high school, with some - like Clay Art Center Community Arts instructor Emily Maldonado - continuing on as teachers in the same programs that first sparked their creativity.

Our support doesn’t stop there. Since 1998, 62 emerging artists have spent time at Clay Art Center teaching, creating, exhibiting, and becoming members of our community as Artists-in-Residence. Over the past 6 years, we have more than doubled our annual financial support for our resident artists, and we aspire to expand that supportive environment with the financial and practical means for emerging artists to start their creative journey at Clay Art Center.
