Grab Your Smock, Clay Art Center New Fall Classes Are Starting Soon
When Clay Art Center says "hands-on instruction," they mean it. Register family members of all ages now and get set to get your hands dirty.

PORT CHESTER, NY — The Clay Art Center has announced registration is now open on their website for Youth & Family Fall Term Classes, which will run from September 6 - December 17.
Youth Weekly Classes (Ages 10 – 17)
Kids can unplug with mud at the award-winning multi-week youth classes taking place on Sundays, starting September 11. The popular Clay for Tweens (ages 10 - 13) and Clay for Teens (ages 14 - 17) are fun and creative opportunities for kids to explore a variety of functional pottery forms, wheel and handbuilding techniques, along with glazing. No experience necessary.
Private Lessons for personal instruction on a more flexible schedule are also available. CAC's professional artist can help your child advance their handbuilding or wheel-throwing skills.

One-Time Family Classes
Saturday Clay (Ages 6+), Saturdays, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m., $25 per person
Halloween Themed 10/29
Ornament Making 12/3, 12/10, 12/17
You can have a fun Saturday out with the whole family. Parents/guardians and their kids can explore their inner artists in this 2-hour introduction to clay. Professional ceramic artists wil guide themed weekly hand-building projects, including special holiday-themed classes. No experience necessary.

Family Wheel Night (Ages 10+), Saturdays, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., $45 per person Another way to have fun with the whle family is the a one-time class for older kids and parents/guardians who are interested in learning how to use the potter's wheel. Experienced and dedicated ceramic artists will lead these classes. No experience is necessary. Materials and firing costs are included.
Kids Clay Parties (Ages 6 to Teen)
The Clay Art Center can host get-togethers for birthday parties, scout meetings, school friends or weekly playdates. Instructors wil guide kids (6-9) through fun clay handbuilding projects. For kids ages 10+, pottery wheel parties are available, where partygoers can make pieces that will be fired and ready to take home at a later date.
The Clay Art Center is a nationally recognized non-profit center for the advancement and practice of ceramic arts offering exhibitions, clay classes for adults and children, studio spaces for clay artists and outreach programs in the community.
