Jeff Beck, Johnny Depp Tour Coming To The Capitol Theatre
Johnny Depp is set to join Jeff Beck on his tour and take the stage at the Westchester County landmark in October.

PORT CHESTER, NY — Johnny Depp is much better known for his talents in front of the camera than as a musician, but based on the recent reaction to his collaboration with rock legend Jeff Beck, that may soon change.
The pair have an onstage chemistry that nearly rivals Beck's work with the incomparable Carlos Santana.
Beck and Depp released their joint album, "18," on July 15. The dreamy mix of soaring instrumental ballads has received a mostly warm reception from both fans and critics.

Beck will be joined by Depp on two tour dates at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester in October.
"Jeff Beck has never been shy about speaking his mind through his music," according to the show's promotors. "For more than 50 years, the Grammy-winning guitarist has expanded rock’s sonic vocabulary with an inventive style of playing that defies categorization. With 'LOUD HAILER,' Beck’s first new album in six years, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer shifts gears once again for an album packed with topical lyrics that touch upon his concerns about the future. Loud hailer — another name for a megaphone — is the perfect symbol for the 11 tracks."

It's said that Johnny Depp is always playing a role, even as the nation watched him testify in a defamation lawsuit he won against Amber Heard, his ex-wife, in June. Maybe Depp is simply playing a role when he performs live with one of the all-time greats. Based on the otherworldly synchronicity and wordless ability to convey a full pallet of emotion, it's equally possible that this is as close as most of us will ever get to glimpsing the real Johnny Depp.
Beck and Depp are slated to perform at The Capitol Theatre on Oct. 7 and 8. Available tickets range from $187.22 to $865.60, as of Tuesday evening. The shows are scheduled to start at 8 p.m.
