Norah Jones Bringing A Funky New Sound To The Capitol Theatre

PORT CHESTER, NY — Norah Jones has seamlessly blended music genres in ways that have made her an undisputed pop idol as well as a highly respected artist who not only defies classification, but changes listeners' conventions.

It's no surprise that her latest album is something new entirely.

And her fans couldn't be happier.

Jones will bring her Visions Tour to the historic Capitol Theatre on May 10, along with special guest, fellow singer-songwriter Emily King.

Named by Billboard as the top jazz artist of the 21st century, Jones has released eight albums and has collaborated with a wide range of artists, including Willie Nelson, Ray Charles and Foo Fighters.

In 2002, she launched her solo career with the release of the acclaimed album "Come Away with Me," a fusion of country music and pop with elements of jazz. Her self-described "moody little record" was certified a diamond album, selling more than 26 million copies.

Jones has earned nine Grammy Awards and sold more than 50 million albums worldwide, but her unique appeal is perhaps best understood in person.

Tickets for the 8 p.m. performance are on sale now at the The Capitol Theatre box office. Tickets range from $76 to $166. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
