PORT CHESTER, NY — Police are seeking information about an early morning gas station robbery.

The Port Chester Police Department posted that early Thursday morning, shortly before 4 a.m., an unknown robber entered the Shell gas station on Boston Post Road.

He forced his way behind the counter and stole cash from the cash register.

While no weapon was displayed, the suspect locked the clerk in a rear stockroom and made violent threats, before fleeing in an unknown direction on foot.

The suspect is described as a male wearing a hooded blue jacket, mask, jeans and workboots.

Port Chester Police Department detectives are seeking any area video footage to help the investigation and identify the robber. They ask that anyone who may have seen anything suspicious at that time, or works or lives nearby check their video for the suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to call 914-939-6332 to provide further information.

Police also reminded everyone to be aware of their surroundings and remain vigilant, noting a growing number of similar incidents have been reported in the area recently.
