Victims In Tractor-Trailer Rollover Crash Identified

The truck driver who died was from Connecticut and the injured occupant of the passenger van is from Long Island.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — New York State Police have identified the victims involved in the crash on I-287 on Wednesday morning.

State police identified Nathan L. Montalvo, 42, of Guilford, Connecticut, as the tractor-trailer driver who died in the crash.

The injured motorist was identified as Aris Guerrero, 37, of West Hempstead. Guerrero was taken to Westchester Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.

The fatal crash involving a tractor-trailer closed all the westbound lanes of the Cross Westchester Expressway near Port Chester for hours throughout most of the morning and early afternoon.

The crash happened shortly before 10:30 a.m., on I-287 in Harrison.

Troopers said a preliminary investigation found that the tractor-trailer was on the Exit 9A ramp from I-287 to I-684 north when the driver lost control and flipped over the guardrail and onto the I-287 westbound lanes.
