Man Hurt When Vehicle Strikes Utility Pole, Flips Over In Port Jefferson: Police

He was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment, Suffolk police say.

PORT JEFFERSON, NY — A man was hurt when his vehicle struck a utility pole and flipped over in Port Jefferson on Sunday afternoon, Suffolk police said.

The man was traveling north on Belle Terre Road in a 2016 Toyota when he suffered a medical emergency, and it struck the pole near the intersection with Myrtle Avenue and overturned, according to police.

He was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
