Updated: Libraries Open, Schools Still Closed on Friday

List of the latest closings and cancellations in the area:

• Comsewogue School District - Closed Friday.
• Port Jefferson School District - Closed Friday. Will reopen Monday.
• Mt. Sinai School District - Closed Friday.

• Long Island Rail Road - Hourly service will begin from Huntington Branch to Penn Station on Friday. Westbound trains depart Huntington at 35 minutes after the hour; the first train is at 12:35 a.m. Service from Port Jefferson Branch still suspended.
• Port Jefferson Village Center - Closed.
• Meat Farms in Port Jefferson Station - Closed.
• Department of Motor Vehicles in Port Jeff Station - Closed.

The following are now open:

• Comsewogue Library - Library is open with charging stations, WiFi, and computers for public use. Read more here.
• Port Jefferson Library - Reopens Friday at 9:30 a.m.
• Bridgeport-Port Jefferson Ferry - Service resumed on Wednesday at 6 a.m.
• Port Jefferson Village Hall - Open but no power.
• Port Jefferson Emergency Operations Center - The village encourages reidents to continue to call (631) 403-6111 for storm related non-emergencies. Always call 911 in case of an emergency.
