- Do you recognize them? Police seek two young men for mischief behavior and property damage in Port Jefferson. Cameras show the group of men walking on Port Jeff Main Street in the middle of the night in July, knocking over a planter box and ripping out plants. A cash reward is offered to whoever gives tips leading to an arrest. Watch the video of the incident at www.youtube.com/SCPDTV. (Smithtown Matters)
- Law enforcement agents held an active shooter drill at the Port Jefferson Ferry on Wednesday morning. The ferry had a bomb threat last month, but no information confirmed if the exercise was connected with the incident. Suffolk Police have been training for emergencies, CPR and techniques to stop bleeding in wounds. (Port Jefferson Patch)
- Have you ever heard of ghosts afraid of the dark? The hilarious musical "A Kooky Spooky" will hit the stage of Port Jefferson Theatre Three Saturday at 11 a.m. Bring the kiddos to laugh it out for $10 per person. (Theatre Three)
