- A group of Port Jefferson residents gathered at Mather Hospital to protest against the plan to remove trees, trails and paths as part of the hospital's plan to expand the parking lot. The group was led by the EcoLeague, founded by activist Holly Fils-Aime. Protesters expressed their concerns about the impact on nature the tree removal will result. (TBR News Media)
