  1. The Village of Port Jefferson released the Branch Pickup Fall Schedule 2021. As the new season approaches, the town is committed to recycle and keep the village neat for the upcoming events of this half of the year. The town requests the branches to be out prior to the start date in the area, as pickups will happen just on the scheduled day.   3. Nearby News: Runaway bull finally corralled after 2 months on the loose on Long Island. The bull has been missing since escaping from a slaughterhouse on Long Island and has finally been captured, the Suffolk County SPCA said Thursday. The bull, named Barney or Barnie by those searching for him, was located Wednesday night and caught by Mike Stura, with the Skylands Animal Sanctuary and Rescue, at the former duck farm located on Barnes Road in Moriches.
