The Town of Brookhaven is considering a proposal that would build the first Chick-fil-A in Suffolk County in Port Jefferson Station, and the town has set a public hearing for Dec. 3 to gauge residents reaction to the idea. The plan right now would be to develop the new restaurant at the former car dealership on Route 347 near Terryville Road.
The Port Jefferson Station Terryville Civic Meeting had representatives from both the engineers and Chick-fil-A to answer questions and go over plans if the board approves their development ideas.
You can see all of the live tweets from the meeting above. The majority of the Civic voted to approve the Chick-fil-A's proposal. The proposal now moves to the Town Board, who will review the material and proceed from there. The town is meeting on Dec 3.
