HISTORY: Bank of Port Jefferson Christmas Club Ad
Historical images from the village archives.

This piece of ephemera from the early 20th century was an advertisement from the Bank of Port Jefferson on East Main Street telling folks about its Christmas Club accounts.
A marketing technique that many banks have forsaken, an article on Bankrate.com says that these types of accounts hit the height of popularity in the 1970s. They are actually still available at some credit unions.
