Local Keeps Things Ticking at Port Jeff Clock Museum
Marshall Irving, of Setauket, has fixed thousands of antique clocks in his lifetime.

On the grounds of the – home to the – is the Spinney Clock Museum, where hundreds of antique clocks are on display.
Setauket resident and former Navy lieutenant commander, Marshall Irving, is the one who keeps things ticking at the museum, having repaired between five and ten thousand old clocks all over the word, according to a profile in the Times Beacon Record.
"Irving, who received his degree in engineering from the Kings Point Merchant Marine Academy, said he's the go-to clock repairman on Long Island," wrote Matt Calamia in the paper.
