Man Raped 14-Year-Old Girl Inside Long Island Apartment: Cops

CORAM, NY – A 33-year-old man forcibly raped a 14-year-old girl inside a Long Island apartment Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Sixth Precinct officers responded to an apartment complex on Country Club Drive in Coram after the teen reported that she had been sexually assaulted by a man inside an apartment at the complex around noon.

Following an investigation by Sixth Squad detectives, Ricardo Gurdon, of Coram, was charged with first degree rape and first degree criminal sex act. He was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Central Islip.

The teen had no prior relationship with Gurdon, police said.
