The closures will take place near the Town of Babylon, the New York State Department of Transportation said.
TOWN OF BABYLON, NY — The New York State Department of Transportation is advising motorists that both directions of Sunrise Highway will be closed in the Town of Babylon on Friday, April 14.
Exit 39 (Hubbards Parth) will be closed between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., weather permitting, to facilitate a concrete bridge deck replacement project. All lanes will be detoured onto the Service Roads during the closure.
Motorists are urged to plan accordingly and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
