Early in the season and the fishing is fine. Sean Reilly Jr. caught this 33 inch striped bass near Port Jefferson, one of 12 caught in total that day for a total of 25 bass in two days. He said it was "feast or famine" on the water so far this year. He also said that the biggest striper hooked on the boat that day at 34 inches.
