- Port Jefferson Public Library creates The Helping Hands Program to help the community members dealing with anxiety, depression, chronic stress and more. Social workers will be available to direct people in search for help to the right centers and contacts such as crisis intervention, emotional distress, runaways, homelessness etc. Request forms are available at the Port Jeff Library website. - Suffolk County Government: Coronavirus Case Update For Sept. 19. Walk- in clinics are offering vaccines to residents who are age 12 and older. No appointment is needed. Medical practitioners and EMS are on-site at all times to answer questions and tend to concerns about the vaccine. (Press Release Desk)
- The Return of the Port Jeff's Dragon Race Festival was a success. Hundreds showed to the Asian-inspired event, which took place Saturday, Sept. 18 at the Port Jefferson Harbor.
