The Long Island Comedy Festival comes to Theatre Three on Friday and Saturday nights at 8 p.m. (tickets $30).
A separate comedy show, an improv format dubbed Friday Night Face-Off, is also set for Friday night at Theatre Three at 10:30 p.m. (tickets $15).

North Shore Jewish Center will host an open house and welcome BBQ party for newly appointed Rabbi Aaron Benson on Sunday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. RSVP is required; more details here.

The annual Greek festival at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Assumption is set for Thursday through Sunday this week, with fireworks planned for Friday and Saturday nights. Visit the festival’s website for more information.

Get your car washed at a fundraiser car wash at St. Gerard Majella Church in Port Jefferson Station on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Mather Hospital will host a blood drive from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Donate blood and enter for a chance to win Super Bowl tickets.

At the Port Jefferson Free Library you’ll find a foreign film, “The Pool” (Hindi), at 2 p.m. on Friday.

Whiskey Rebellion will be performing on Sunday at Frank Melville Memorial Park at 5:30 p.m. in the park’s “Wind Down Sundays Summer Concert Series.”
The Banjo Rascals, a group that plays music from the 1950s and ‘60s, will perform at the Stony Brook Village Center on Sunday at 7 p.m.

Crossroads Church is a new church in town at Oxhead Road and Pembrook Road in Stony Brook. They will be having an open house on Sunday at 10 a.m.

The Three Village Historical Society’s walking tour this weekend will cover the Setauket Village Green, starting at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
The Ward Melville Heritage Organization’s current exhibit is “Long Island’s Auto Racing Heritage,” on display at the Educational & Cultural Center from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
The Long Island Museum’s current exhibit is “Coney Island and Jones Beach: Empires by the Sea.” The museum is open Thursday through Sunday.
Finalists in the Long Island Museum’s 2013 juried art show are also on display.
