1. Port Jefferson Village announced the new date for the Annual Golf Outing. The event is set for Oct. 6 at 11 a.m. Tickets are $50 per person, which includes a cart, gift bag, dinner and snacks. The outing had to be rescheduled due to the weather conditions. (Port Jefferson Village)
2. Looking for an outing this weekend? Port Jefferson Annual Sea Shanty and Maritime Music Festival kicks off on Saturday, Oct. 1, from noon to 7 p.m. at the Harborfront Park. There will be live music, vendors, food, crafts and more! (Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce)
3. The Zuccaire Gallery Art features the new exhibit "Connecting the Drops: The Power of Water." The artwork spreads the message of environmental justice and how water is crucial for life. The show opens on Monday, Oct. 3, from noon to 4 p.m. at 100 Nicolls Rd. in Stony Brook. (Stony Brook University)
4. Nearby Events: Wash your vehicle for a good cause with the Coram Fire Department on Saturday, Oct. 1, from 11 to 4 p.m. Washes are $10 per car at 303 Middle Country Rd, in Coram. All proceeds will be donated to the Bjorndahl Foundation For Traumatic Brain Injury. (Patch Events)
