  2. Port Jefferson Station welcomed the new Toast Coffeehouse with a grand opening. The festive ceremony had the presence of Councilmember Jonathan Kornreich and some residents in early September. The business is now open at 650 Route 112 in Port Jefferson Station. Owners Terence and Jennifer Scarlatos opened their first coffeehouse in Port Jefferson in 2002 and moved to the new spot to better serve customers with a larger dining room and parking lot.   4. Nearby News: Andrew Frey, 57, of Coram, was charged with sex trafficking and kidnapping on Sept. 20. Two women escaped from Frey's car after being threatened with a knife after refusing to follow him to remote locations, according to reports. Police searched his vehicle and found handcuffs, knives and ropes. He may be facing 15 years imprisonment if convicted. (Patch)
