  1. Port Jefferson Station Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Halloween Spooktacular at the chamber train car on Saturday, Oct. 22. Stay tuned for the details of this event that will be posted in the Port Jefferson Patch! (PJS Chamber of Commerce)
  2. Port Jefferson Po'Boy Brewery will be the host of the Mather Hospital Paint Port Pink-Pints fundraiser. The event celebrates breast cancer survivors and helps to educate the community about prevention and treatment.   4. Nearby News: A video of catalytic converter thieves has been released by police. Two suspects stole the catalytic from a car parked on a residence's driveway on Walnut Avenue in Ronkonkoma. This type of crime keeps rising on Long Island. Police are asking for the public's help to identify the pair. (News12)

  • Did you know the first post office established in Port Jefferson was called “Satucket?” The building was first opened in 1801, having resident Zachariah Hawkins serving the community as the postmaster.
