1. Entrepreneur Kristen Hoffman is now the new owner of East Main Street's Earring Tabu, under "Tabu Boutique." The store now is offering more than just earrings. Hoffman also expanded the Tabu brand with a new shoe shop located at Chandler Square, called Shoe Tabu. (Greater Long Island)
2. The Village of Port Jefferson Mayor Margot Garant announced the withdrawal of revoking the operating license of the Curry Club at SaGhar. At the last Board meeting, Mayor Garant mentioned that the restaurant complied with all the village's requests, such as not applying for nightclub status and other requirements. 3. Families are welcome to come to the Port Jefferson Free Library to participate in the Sunday Crafternoon! Crafts will be available at 2 p.m. Registration is not required. (PJFL)
4. Veteran Edward L. Chan was honored for his World War II Service. The Long Island retired teacher joined the U.S. Army when he was 18 years old. "I considered Hitler a threat to democracy, and the most important priority was to defeat him," Chan told Patch. (Patch)
5. The Port Jefferson Antiques and Garden Weekend at the Village Center is set for April 30, and May 1 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $6 per person. The event will feature beautiful estate and antique jewelry, maps, toys, furniture, and more! (PJCofC)
