  1. Suffolk County Water Authority started updating its system in Port Jefferson on May 9, and the work is expected to be completed on May 30. Road work is scheduled on Williams Street, Avenue A, Division Street, and Jones Avenue. SCWA will provide temporary restoration to these areas once the work is completed. (PJVC)
  2. Port Jefferson Village residents are invited to play pickleball! Trustee Stan Loucks announced that free pickleball sessions would be offered. Classes will be held at Texaco Park. Registration can be made through the village recreation department. (tbrnewsmedia)

The Performing Arts Studio in Port Jefferson will host a True Things Storytelling show on May 14 at 7 p.m. The show features real stories with a twisted end, and the audience will be able to question storytellers about the facts in their stories and find out who told the story with no lies.   4. Port Jefferson Library will help all dog lovers to train their puppies! Passion for Puppies Training will host a seminar that will lecture dog owners about mistakes while training their pets and ways to correct them.   5. Edwin Ernst Marine Conservation Center will host a Summer of Science program created by the Ward Melville Heritage Organization.
