Port Jefferson Duo Honored For Academic Excellence

Two Earl L. Vandermeulen High School seniors have earned academic excellence awards as part of the Town of Brookhaven’s ninth annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration.

The students, Frank Andriani and Benjamin Perez-Flesler, will be recognized at a ceremony on Oct. 14 at Brookhaven Town Hall for earning grade point averages of 95.46 and 99.19, respectively. In college, Frank looks forward to majoring in business and Benjamin in biochemistry.
Hosted by Brookhaven’s Hispanic Advisory Board, the students were among dozens of seniors from school districts throughout Brookhaven township who were lauded for achieving a grade point average of 95 or higher.
