Here are the top four stories today in Port Jefferson:

1. Good news for Port Jefferson Free Library cardholders and movie lovers in the community, the library is now offering free access to Kanopy for cardholders. To watch up to ten movies a day, visit portjefflibrary.kanopy.com. (Port Jefferson Free Library)
2. Port Jefferson Historical Society is hosting its Annual Country Auction on Saturday, Oct. 15, at 9 a.m. This event is rain or shine and will be held at The Mather House Museum at 115 Prospect St, Port Jefferson. (Port Jefferson Historical Society)
3. Twenty-two license plate readers are expected to be installed in various spots on the Southern State Parkway. According to officials, the readers will help police identify drivers with arrest warrants and give feedback on traffic situations. (Newsday/Subscription Required)
