Earl L. Vandermeulen High School senior Riley Perrotta has been selected as the outstanding senior science student by the school’s science educators. Riley, along with other outstanding senior science students from Suffolk County high schools, will be honored by The Executive Committee of the Suffolk Section of the Science Teachers Association of New York State at a dinner ceremony on May 24 at Villa Lombardi’s. Riley will be recognized for high level achievements in all science related endeavors. Riley, a member of the school’s Science Olympiad team who also takes Advanced Placement courses in chemistry, biology and physics, is excited by the honor. He looks forward to attending Stony Brook University to major in biochemistry in the fall.
