Port Jefferson Station To Host Dickens Weekend Dec. 7 & 8
Port Jefferson Station to host first annual tree lighting ceremony in December.

Comsewogue superintendent Joseph Rella put out a call to district residents this past Sunday asking for volunteers for the Port Jefferson Station Dickens Weekend.
The yearly event, not to be confused with the Port Jefferson Village Dickens Festival, takes place at the Uncle Giuseppe's Shopping Center. All volunteers come dressed in characters and participate in singing Christmas carols and spreading holiday cheer to patrons shopping in the supermarket.
In a phone message, Rella said this event is not one to be missed. "This year's performances will include from local dance studios and will include the first tree lighting and decorating ceremony," said Rella. "We need you, no experience necessary."
The Port Jefferson Station Dickens Weekend Festival is December 7 and 8.
