- The General Election Day is scheduled for Nov. 8. Registered voters can go to various locations in Nassau and Suffolk County to vote early. - The Sea Shanty Music Festival is coming to Port Jefferson! The Maritime Fest will rock the Village on Saturday, Oct. 1, from noon to 6 p.m. at Harborfront Park. Details to follow! (Port Jefferson Village)
- Robinson's Tea Room has closed its doors permanently. The business was located at 95 Main St. in Stony Brook. Owners announced via social media that the closure was due to health problems. (Patch)
- Port Jefferson Theatre Three has its auditions open for the musical Sondheim’s "Side by Side." Save the date for Sunday, Nov. 13 at 10 a.m. and Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 7:30 p.m. (Amityville Record)
