Gourmet Burger Bistro in Port Jefferson is known for its unique burgers made with all kinds of meats, cheeses, veggies and more. We tried one of their newer creations for lunch Wednesday.
The Dish: Inside Out Burger ($11.95)
What's Inside: Bacon and cheddar are stuffed on the inside of this burger...and also topped on the outside as well. It is served in your choice of bun (sesame, sweet, or multi-grain) with a pick lettuce, tomato and onion straws on the side.
Eat this Because: You're hungry and have a craving for meat and cheese. The burger is cooked to order and loaded inside with cheddar and bacon and then topped with more melty cheddar and crispy bacon. The onion straws are light and tasty and can be eaten on the side or piled on top, depending on your mood.
