2 Firefighters Injured In Roslyn House Fire: PD

A house fire occurred at 9:45 a.m. today, leaving two firefighters with injuries, police say.

ROSLYN HEIGHTS, NY — A Roslyn Heights home was fully engulfed in flames morning, according to Nassau County police.

All occupants had already evacuated the house before police arrived on Pinetree Lane, authorities said.

The Roslyn Fire Department and neighboring fire departments responded, police said.

A Carle Place firefighter suffered first-degree and second-degree burns to his face while on the roof, police said. He was transported to a local hospital, police said. Another firefighter suffered from smoke inhalation and was treated on scene, according to police; no other injuries were reported.

The investigation is still ongoing, police said.
