AHEPA Chapter 456 Hosts Successful 33rd Annual “Andy Cyprus Open” Golf Outing Fundraiser at The Village Club

Chapter 456's major fundraisers with proceeds supporting numerous charitable and educational causes locally and nationally.

Port Washington, NY — The AHEPA Gold Coast Chapter 456 proudly hosted its 33rd Annual “Andy Cyprus Open” Golf Outing on Monday, October 6, 2025, at the beautiful Village Club of Sands Point. Blessed with perfect weather, the event brought together friends, supporters, and community members for a full day of golf, camaraderie, great food, and philanthropy — all in support of AHEPA’s mission of promoting education, philanthropy, civic responsibility, and Hellenic values.

Golfers enjoyed a spirited round filled with friendly competition and memorable moments. The day featured Hole-in-One Challenges, including a $10,000 cash prize, and lighthearted fun such as a marshmallow driving contest and 50/50 raffle. Guests were treated to food and beverages throughout the course, keeping energy high and spirits even higher.

The celebration continued into the evening with a Cocktail Party and Dinner Reception, where participants enjoyed a full open bar, gourmet cuisine, and an array of raffle prizes. The event was well-attended, with laughter, stories, and community pride filling the air.

Tournament challenge winners included; Closest to the Pin: Franco Maffetton & Peter Ioannou, Closest to the Line Chris Polechronis, and Longest Drive Niko Manitaras. The1st Place Team was that of Peter Ioannou, Franco Maffetton, and Niko Manitaras. The 2nd Place Team was Michael Bardis, Charlie Fravola, Connor Pupelis, and Andrew Schulson.

Each year, this event not only provides an opportunity for fellowship but also serves as one of Chapter 456’s major fundraisers, with proceeds supporting numerous charitable and educational causes locally and nationally.

Beneficiaries of this year’s philanthropic efforts include: Ball4Life, Like A Daisy, Tunnel to Towers Foundation, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, AHEPA Service Dogs for Warriors, American Friends of the Blind, Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Center, St. Michael’s Nursing Home, Hellenic Relief, Greek Children’s Fund, Covenant House, Ronald McDonald House, and Nassau County P.A.L.
