Cops: 2 Men Arrested in Port Washington Robbery

The incident took place in the wooded area off Central Drive and Locust Ave., police said.

have charged two men in connection with a robbery that occurred in the wooded area off Central Drive and Locust Ave.  

According to police, on July 22 at about 6:30 p.m., a 17-year-old male was approached by two men who struck him on the face and body with closed fists. The men forcibly removed $6 from the victim’s wallet, as well as his iPod, cell phone and skateboard.  

The victim was treated at North Shore Hospital for his injuries. Following an investigation, on July 25, Port Washington detectives arrested Kyle M. Howell, 18, of Westbury, and Andrew J. Klapper , 19, of Manhasset.

Both were charged with second degree robbery and arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on July 26, police said.
