Disabled Semi-Truck Snarls Traffic On Long Island Expressway

NORTH HILLS, NY — A disabled vehicle on the westbound lanes of the Long Island Expressway snarled traffic Thursday morning, closing two lanes.

Traffic cameras showed authorities assisting a semi-trailer on the expressway around 8:30 a.m. between Exit 34 for New Hyde Park Road and and Exit 33 for Lakeville Road.

The high occupancy and left lanes were closed. Traffic was backed up to East Hills.
