Ducklings Rescued From Storm Drain In North Hills

It was a happy ending for ducklings that fell into a storm drain in North Hills on Saturday morning.

The Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department responded to the Stone Hill Condos off Shelter Rock Road after learning of the trapped ducklings.

Firefighters used the hurst tool to remove the drain's gate. The ducklings were removed from the drain and reunited with their mom in a nearby pool.

As the Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department said on Facebook, "Quacktastrophy avoided!"
