Earth Day Clean Up Event Hosted In Town Of North Hempstead On April 22
Participants get a free, reusable tote bag at the event, while supplies last.
MANHASSET, NY — Earth Day is on Friday, April 22 — and to celebrate, the Town of North Hempstead is partnering with the Manhasset Chamber of Commerce for its annual Earth Day Clean Up.
The event, which kicks off at 1 p.m., gives residents the opportunity to give back to the planet by protecting it from pollution and other environmental hazards. They'll work together to clean up trash, weed the plantings, and sweep debris from sidewalks, according to officials. It will take place at Mary Jane Davies Green on Plandome Road.
The Town will supply gloves and trash bags to participants, while the Manhasset Chamber will provide them with free, reusable tote bags, while supplies last. Click here to sign up for the annual Earth Day Clean Up event.
