Harry Paul Goes to Washington

Port Washington’s own Harry Paul met President Barack Obama at the 5th White House Science Fair, on Monday.

Paul was among young scientists and engineers from across the United States to present their research at the fair.

His research involves an implant for the surgical treatment of congenital scoliosis. His research could lead to fewer procedures for children needing surgical treatment.

For Paul the research is personal. Born with congenital scoliosis, he has undergone dozens of operations to address his condition.
