Here's How Manhasset Runners Did In 2021 Boston Marathon

Five runners from Manhasset competed Monday in the 125th Boston Marathon.

MANHASSET, NY — The 2021 Boston Marathon was Monday morning, with five runners from Manhasset making their 26.2-mile journey from Hopkinton to the famed Boylston Street finish line in Boston.

The 2021 Boston Marathon for the first time was held in the fall, pushed back six months from its traditional April date due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Last year's event was postponed before being canceled, the first time the race didn't take place in its 124-year history (though there was a virtual event).

Among the 20,000 participants at this year's race, five hail from Manhasset. Here's how they did, according to unofficial results from the Boston Athletic Association's tracker:

Boston Marathon Winners

Kenya's Benson Kipruto and Diana Kipyogei won the men's and women's elite races, respectively, highlighting the most unique marathon in the race's 125-year history.

This is Kipruto's first Boston victory, having finished 10th the last time the race was held in 2019. He crossed the Boylston Street finish line in 2 hours 9 minutes 48 seconds, according to unofficial times. Kipyogei clocked in at 2:24:45.
