Last Chance To Apply For N. Hempstead Town Rental Assistance Program
Residents have until Jan. 20 to apply for the pandemic-era program offering emergency help with rent and utilities.
MANHASSET, NY — An emergency rent assistance program the Town of North Hempstead created to help residents during the pandemic is coming to a close, the town announced Wednesday.
The last day to apply for help with rent and utilities is Jan. 20 by 9 p.m.
The program is administered through the New York State Office of temporary and Disability Assistance website. Residents of the Town of North Hempstead who are not receiving other federal assistance for the same amounts can apply here.

New York State’s Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance will be responsible for evaluating applications and candidates, and will be the entity issuing the checks.
