LI Man Accused Of Jaw-Breaking Punch At Large College Party
A 21-year-old from Long Island is facing a pair of assault charges for what a warrant describes as a jaw-breaking "sucker punch."

MANSFIELD, CT — A 21-year-old from Long Island is facing a pair of assault charges for what a warrant describes as a jaw-breaking "sucker punch" as a large student party was being broken up by state police.
Shivam Mukherjee, of Manhasset, was charged with assault in the third and fourth degrees and disorderly conduct, according to a warrant. He posted a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Rockville Superior Court on May 30, according to a report.
The party involved about 800 University of Connecticut students at a house located at 208 North Eagleville Road in Mansfield, according to a warrant. At 3:30 p.m., state police descended on the gathering to disperse it, according to a warrant.

According to a warrant, several party-goers migrated to an adjacent yard and, according to witnesses interviewed by state police, one of them had his law broken in two places after two punches were hurled his way, the second as he was being held in a "bear-hug" by would-be peacemakers.
Mukerjee was identified as a culprit, according to a warrant.
