Lottery Winner From Manhasset Hills Claims $5M Prize

He plans to use the winnings to pay for his children's college education and buy his father a new car.

A Manhasset Hills resident claimed his ceremonial check on Friday for winning a multi million-dollar lottery prize. He is one of two of Nassau County's newest millionaires.

Satishkumar Patel, 37, won his jackpot prize on the $5,000,000 Bankroll game.

“Honestly it was just a random stop,” Patel said in a press release. “I only play two or three times a month.”

“Right now, my plans for the money include college educations for my children and a new car for my dad,” Patel said.

He is the ninety-third New York Lottery player to claim a prize totaling $1,000,000 or more this year.

Pedro Argueta, 59, of Carle Place also claimed his prize on Friday after winning the $3,000,000 jackpot prize on the popular 50X the Money scratch-off ticket.
