Voters Approve Manhasset Budget, Elect Trustees

Residents headed to the polls Tuesday to vote on a school budget and elect board members.

Manhasset residents approved a 2018-19 school budget on Tuesday.

The $96,369,935 budget passed with 1004 yes votes and 212 no votes, according to the school district. The budget is a 2.64 percent spending increase over the current year and it comes with a 2.99 percent tax levy increase.

Residents also re-elected Carlo Prinzo and Ann Marie Curd, who ran unopposed, to the Manhasset Board of Education.
