N. Hempstead Looks Ahead To Ban Sale Of Recreational Marijuana
Should the town be able to limit the sale of recreational marijuana if it becomes legal?

Medical marijuana dispensaries in the Town of North Hempstead will be unable to be used as a marijuana retail store should recreational use of the substance ever become legal.
The Town Board and North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth unanimously approved the amendment to the Town's zoning code on Tuesday, Nov. 20.
In addition to this approved amendment, North Hempstead is taking further steps to limit medical marijuana facilities as well as recreational marijuana dispensaries if they become legal in New York.
