PORT WASHINGTON, NY — There is a new waterfront dining option this summer on the North Shore. Nino's Beach opened in May in Safe Harbor Marina in Port Washington, the newest restaurant from the owners of Manhattan's Nino's 46 and Astoria's Nino's AQ.

Nino's Beach serves upscale Mediterranean food that highlights local ingredients. The waterfront restaurant is over 9,000 square feet and has a dock that can fit 30 boats, according to a news release from Nino's Restaurant Group.

The menu will have a large oyster and raw bar, seafood and sushi.

The owners are brothers Michael and Franco Vendome, who inherited the family restaurant, Nino's 46 in midtown Manhattan. They opened Nino’s AQ in 2018 in Astoria.

"Conceived to evoke the feeling of a laid-back and luxurious vacation setting...[it's] a space that allows patrons to feel transported while highlighting the waterfront views on all sides," the restaurant group said.

In addition to seafood offerings, there is a wood-fired pizza oven, homemade pasta, steaks and a drink menu with cocktails, champagnes and extensive sparkling wines.

“As we see the reshaping of life post-pandemic, we are excited to have the opportunity to take a step forward with this new, unique concept, and build upon the Nino’s brand, continuing the celebration of the return of restaurants in New York,” Michael Vendome said.

“The opportunity to operate in a waterfront marina is rare in New York, and we are thrilled to help bring Long Islanders back to restaurants.”

The restaurant, at 43 Orchard Beach Blvd. is open for dinner weekdays 5 to 11 p.m. and 5 to midnight on weekends. Lunch and brunch hours will be added in the future, the owners say.
