Northwell CEO Among The Most Influential Leaders In Healthcare
He made Modern Healthcare's "100 Most Influential People In Healthcare" list for the eleventh year in a row.

The President and CEO of Northwell Health has been named among the most influential people in healthcare for the eleventh year in a row.
Michael J. Dowling ranks No. 38 on Modern Healthcare's "100 Most Influential People In Healthcare" list.
Dowling has a long history in the health and human services industry. He previously oversaw health, education and human services in former New York Gov. Mario Cuomo’s administration and led Northwell Health's rise to become the state's largest health system.

“Health care has never been more complex or more vital to the communities we serve,” Dowling said in a press release. “Not only have we had to respond to the political turmoil in Washington, but to the ever-changing environment of evolving technologies and health care needs.”
Dowling was also named one of Glassdor's Highest Rated CEOs in June.

Republican senators— Lisa Murkowski (Alaska), Susan Collins (Maine) and John McCain (Arizona)— who blocked the party's attempt to repeal the Affordable Care Act in July topped Modern Healthcare's rankings.
